The idea is to project moose and deer yields per project area based on integrated landscape models, timber types, stand age class, and animal use from clearcut edge and cover.</p> <p>Based on projected moose and whitetail deer yields an economic evaluation was devised to compare the various harvesting regimes based on animals harvested while retaining a sustained yield. The economic analysis uses the recreation visitor day (RVD) process adopted by USFS.</p>}, journal={Alces: A Journal Devoted to the Biology and Management of Moose}, author={Potter II, Donald V.}, year={1985}, month={Jan.}, pages={253–265} }
