TOWARD CENTURY 21 - A MOOSE MANAGEMENT PERSPECTIVE
Abstract
Toward Century 21 - the moose resource for the remainder of the century will be subjected to ever increasing pressure from a myriad of anthropogenic sources. The intent of this paper is to challenge and stimulate moose biologists, the public (naturalists, Treaty Indians and hunters) and industry to become involved in a co-operative management venture to ensure that the resources available for future generations. New ventures, new ideas and new partners in moose management are a prerequisite for moose management as the 20th century draws to a close.
